Sandra Rivera

A Latina of Puerto Rican ancestry, 

this legacy is at the heart of Sandra’s artistry.

Born and raised in East Harlem, Ms. Rivera has been doing creative work there since 1990. She was a founding member of Ballet Hispanico and eventually continued her artistic work developing, creating and producing work in East Harlem. She continues to create work that is rooted and reflective of the Latino experience in New York City with a particular emphasis on the Puerto Rican Diaspora.
